NEWReproducible benchmarks shipped
Axum, SQLx, Postgres and React, wired for organizations, roles, single sign-on, billing, background jobs and an admin panel. One binary and a Postgres. Deploys to Fly in minutes.
just setup && just devTerminal session: just setup starts Postgres and applies 39 migrations, just dev serves the API and the web app, and just test-api passes 464 tests.
01 / WHAT'S IN THE CRATE
Opinionated where it saves you time, plain Rust everywhere else. No framework lock-in — it's your code from the first commit.
axum · sqlx · openapi
SQLx verifies every query against your schema at build time. Typed ids, one error envelope, and an OpenAPI spec with generated TypeScript types.
orgs · roles · invites
Organizations, invitations and seat limits. Every query is scoped by org, and every guard asks one permission catalog, custom roles included.
sso · scim · passkeys
OpenID Connect single sign-on with DNS-verified domains, SCIM provisioning, passkeys, TOTP two-factor, magic links, Google and GitHub.
stripe · paddle · polar · lemon squeezy
Four providers behind one trait. Per-seat plans, yearly prices, coupons, one-time purchases, usage billing, idempotent webhooks and dunning.
queue · schedules · retries
A Postgres queue with retries, backoff, dead letters and scheduled tasks, claimed with FOR UPDATE SKIP LOCKED. In the same process; no Redis.
audit · webhooks · api keys
An audit log, signed webhooks with retries and a delivery log, scoped and expiring API keys, and an MCP server for AI assistants.
/admin
Every user and organization in one place: disable accounts, change roles, impersonate with a recorded trail, and watch sign-ups and conversion.
env · fail fast
Refuses to boot on a missing variable, a weak JWT secret, https without secure cookies or half-configured billing. Mistakes fail the deploy, not production.
02 / ARCHITECTURE
A layered monolith that's easy to reason about on day one and easy to split on day 500.

03 / CODE TOUR
A handler names the permission it needs and hands off to the service. Every route is described in the OpenAPI spec the build keeps honest.
pub(crate) async fn list( State(state): State<AppState>, auth: AuthUser, Path(org_id): Path<OrgId>,) -> Result<Json<Vec<Upload>>> { orgs::require_permission(&state.db, org_id, auth.user_id, Permission::UseFiles).await?; Ok(Json(service::list(&state, org_id).await?))}04 / PERFORMANCE
A laptop serves over 10,000 signed-in requests a second, in under 100 MB of memory. Every number here comes from a script in the repo.
Release build · MacBook Pro M1 Pro · Postgres 17 and wrk (100 connections) on the same machine · rate limiting on. Rerun it with bench/run.sh.

07 / FAQ
Access to the private GitHub repository: the whole starter, its docs, and the CRM, task tracker and feedback board demos. You clone it, and it’s your code.
Solo and Team cover products you build and own, as many as you like. Building for clients needs Agency: your client may run and change what you deliver, but not reuse the starter for other products.
Your team should be comfortable with Rust basics. The codebase avoids clever macros and trait gymnastics; it’s written to be read and changed.
Updates land in the repository and you merge them like any upstream, with git. Every change passes the same gate first: 460+ API tests and 100+ browser tests.
React 19 with TanStack Router and Query, and Tailwind v4, served by the same binary. The API is plain JSON with an OpenAPI spec and generated TypeScript types, so any other client works too.
Yes. There’s an AGENTS.md in every folder, step-by-step skills for common changes, llms.txt, and a module generator. In our test, an agent new to the repo shipped a tested feature in 30 minutes.
